About Us
‘Inspire Education Studio’ is an opportunity for students to reach their potential in extra curricular areas and for tutors to teach their passion.'
Inspire Education Studio was launched in January 2014 after it became evident that there was a growing demand in the community for tutors in all extra curricular areas. We started out with 1 tutor and 5 students in early 2014 and have now grown to over 10 tutors and 100+ students having tuition of some description in various areas of the Bay of Plenty.
Inspire Education Studio tutors have a supportive environment where they can teach in the areas of their passion.
Inspire Education Studio students learn in an environment where they will be provided with the knowledge and encouragement they need to gain confidence and reach their potential.
It is our desire to continue reaching the needs of our community when it comes to extra curricular education.
It is hoped that in the future Inspire Education Studio will expand into other areas of New Zealand.
Tutors
Rochelle Embling
B Ed (Tchg) Primary, A.T.C.L. Piano, AMusA Piano, Dip CM
Rochelle is the Director of Inspire Education Studio. Along with the administration and management of the business Rochelle also tutors Piano and a Community Kids Choir. Rochelle has a passion for music and loves sharing this with people of all ages. She has teaching experience in specialist music classes and in the primary classroom.
Miriam McFarlane
B Sci, Grad Dip Tchg (Secondary)
Miriam has had a number of years teaching experience at Secondary level and is now mum to two beautiful boys. Miriam loves to see students reach their potential in her areas of expertise.
Justine Anson
B Ed (Tchg) Primary
Justine is a qualified primary teacher who tutors in Maths & Literacy for Inspire Education Studio. With a number of years teaching experience both in NZ and in Prague, Justine brings a real passion to help students reach their full potential.
Hannah Jones
Currently training at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute in Early Childhood Education, Grade 8 Piano
Hannah is currently working towards her Bachelor of Education (ECE) and is tutoring part time for Inspire Education Studio in Piano. Hannah has a number of years of experience learning piano which she is now keen to share with others. She has a passion for music and for children.
Rona Wilcox
B Ed, Dip Tchg
Rona tutors Visual Arts for Inspire Education Studio. She is a primary trained teacher with over 20 years teaching experience and a passion for The Arts. Rona has a desire to see children develop their creativity, problem solving and grow in confidence.
Alicia Swanepoel
Year 13 Bethlehem College, NCEA Level 1 Music
Alicia is an intern vocal tutor for Inspire Education Studio. She has had a number of years of vocal experience – both in bands, and solo work. She has also placed in many vocal competitions both nationally and overseas. Alicia loves to share her passion of singing with her students.
Kerrie Bernard
Currently training at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute in Primary Education
Kerrie is currently working towards her Bachelor of Education (Primary) and is tutoring part time for Inspire Education Studio in Maths & Literacy. In her role as a mum Kerrie has had years of experience helping in education through her own children. She is very keen to meet her students where they are at and support them to continue to grow & learn.
Gemma Tong
B Ed (Tchg) Primary
Gemma is a qualified primary teacher who tutors Literacy & Numeracy for Inspire Education Studio. Gemma is passionate about children and young people achieving their full potential, enjoying learning and feeling confident in their learning.
Charlotte Bayliss
Currently training at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute in Primary Education
Charlotte is currently working towards her Bachelor of Education (Primary) and is tutoring part time for Inspire Education Studio in Maths & Literacy. Charlotte is passionate about building relationships with those she educates in order to create a trustworthy and successful learning environment.
Jan Dean
B A
Jan is an experienced secondary teacher who is tutoring Secondary English for Inspire Education Studio. Jan has 30 years of teaching experience and is keen to share her passion and love for English and literacy with her students. She is passionate about correctness in writing and literature – often known as the ‘Apostrophe Police’!
